About Gabriel
Gabriel Mouyal, LMHC, CRC, QS
Gabriel Mouyal is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and Qualified Supervisor (QS) with over five years of clinical experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use challenges, and life transitions. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and his Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation from the University of South Florida.
Gabriel's clinical background spans multiple settings — from acute-care inpatient substance use treatment to outpatient mental health services and collaborative work alongside the UCF College of Medicine. This range of experience has shaped a deeply practical, compassionate, and nuanced approach to care.
He is committed to meeting each client where they are — honoring their lived experience, respecting their pace, and building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and collaboration. Gabriel believes strongly that therapy is a partnership, and that meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely seen and supported.
Outside of his clinical work, Gabriel values staying active, traveling, and continuing his education in evidence-based therapeutic practices. These commitments reflect the same values he brings to his work with clients: curiosity, discipline, and care for whole-person well-being.

Approach
Our Approach to Therapy
Thoughtful, personalized, and grounded in what actually works.
Collaborative & Client-Centered
Therapy at Atlas Counseling & Wellness is guided by one core belief: you are the expert on your own life. From the very first session, we work together to understand your goals, identify what matters most to you, and build a plan that reflects your values and vision. Treatment is tailored — not templated. Your pace, your priorities, your story.
Evidence-Based, Integrative Care
Every approach used is grounded in research and selected based on what's most effective for your specific concerns. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) offers a powerful, research-backed path through trauma and PTSD. Solution-Focused and Strengths-Based strategies keep the work oriented toward your capacity for growth — not just your challenges. These methods are combined thoughtfully and adapted as you progress.
Focused on Real-Life Progress
The goal of therapy isn't just symptom management — it's building skills that travel with you into your daily life. That means improving emotional regulation, strengthening coping strategies, building self-awareness, and developing healthier relationship patterns that create lasting change beyond the therapy room.
Accessible, Flexible Care
Atlas Counseling & Wellness currently offers secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy throughout Florida, with in-person sessions available in Orlando on Fridays. Whether you prefer the comfort of telehealth or the presence of an in-person session, the priority is always finding the format that works best for you.
Areas of Focus
Specialized Support for What Matters Most
Every person's experience is unique. Therapy is tailored to your needs, goals, and the challenges you're navigating.
Anxiety & Stress Therapy
Anxiety can show up in many ways — racing thoughts, constant worry, panic, difficulty relaxing, or feeling overwhelmed by daily life. You don't have to white-knuckle your way through it.

- •Build emotional regulation and stress-management skills
- •Develop practical tools for managing anxiety in daily life
Depression & Mood Support
Depression can affect motivation, relationships, energy levels, and self-worth in ways that feel hard to explain. Therapy offers a space to understand what's happening and begin moving forward.
- •Understand emotional and behavioral patterns

- •Develop coping skills and self-compassion
Trauma & PTSD Therapy
Trauma can continue to impact thoughts, emotions, and relationships long after an event has passed. Healing is possible — and you deserve support in getting there.
- •Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — a proven, evidence-based approach
- •Trauma-informed, paced processing at your comfort level
- •Restore a sense of safety, control, and emotional balance
Substance Use & Recovery
Struggling with substance use doesn't reflect a lack of willpower — it's often rooted in pain, stress, or unmet needs. Therapy offers a nonjudgmental space to explore patterns and build lasting change.
- •Understand triggers and underlying emotional needs
- •Strengthen motivation and personal accountability
- •Build sustainable tools for recovery and balance
Life Transitions & Identity
Major life changes — career shifts, relationship changes, loss, or personal growth transitions — can feel destabilizing even when they're the right move. Therapy can help you find your footing.
- •Clarify goals, values, and priorities
- •Strengthen decision-making and self-trust
- •Manage stress and emotional adjustment
